Chris and Stacy Masterjohn invited us and the Mowles family to their new Big Bear house for a family adventure weekend. We were excited to be able to see their new vacation home, and to watch the kids play together. We arrived Saturday around 11AM and we were ready to start our adventure. We ate lunch, went for a geo-caching hike and a park/doughnut run all within the first few hours of being there. The kids had a BLAST and they WORE us out! Saturday night we celebrated "Oktoberfest" with authentic German salads, wieners and bratwursts. After the kids went down - well sort of - the adults got to go down to the play room and watch the men "attempt" to play pool on a mini table. That night, there wasn't a ton of sleep, thanks in part, to our son who doesn't sleep great anyway, but we still had a blast. We are thankful to have such generous friends whose hospitality makes for an amazing time. We can't wait to go up again some other time... (especially if our kids sleep better as they get older!) - Melissa
