December 2012 events

New Years was celebrated at our house on 12/31/2012. Our special guests were Brian and Theresa. Since we never are up past midnight anymore, we did our traditional New Years celebration on East Coast time.


On Sunday December 30th we took an early drive up the grapevine to the Gorman area for some snow time. It was a little snowy and very cold, and we managed a few minutes in actual snow. Zoey, Melissa and I had a good time....Leo wasn't a fan.

One final Disneyland trip of the year on Thursday 12/20/2012. Grandma Sandi came with us and Zoey and Leo wore their Chip and Dale hats.

The first few months of Kindergarten was going smoothly for Zoey. Initially there was very little homework and good progress from her teacher Dr. Tom. She now needed a desk and Zoey and Leo's room has very little room for a desk. We found the perfect little desk at Ikea on 12/15/2012. Both kids wanted to help ol' dad with the desk build.

Big Dominic has his championship soccer game on 12/8/2012. His team, King Cobras, won the big game!

 

 

 

We were lucky enough to get tickets to a Christmas Candlelight show on 12/3/2012 at Disneyland. This year they had 20 shows and had a lottery for pass holders to attend. Our narrator was Kurt Russell and I'll have to say it was the most un-Disney event I've ever seen and very well done!

 

 

Grandma Mary's 58th Birthday was held at Lucille's in Long Beach on Sunday 12/2/2012. You can never go wrong with some BBQ!
