Leo's 2nd Birthday!

To celebrate Leo turning two, we celebrated on a couple of days and had multiple moments of celebration during the day (maybe we get a bit carried away for birthdays in our family).

On the day of Leo's birthday, we had put out his new train table and had a big reveal first thing in the morning. Our hope was that he would stop using trains on the tv cabinet, but wouldn't you know it, while he loves the train table, he loves the tv cabinet even more! OYE!

Next, we had a big park party at Little Cottonwood park. We had a few friends and family join us for a train party. I made cardboard box train cars for the kids to play with during the party. Thankfully, I have a mom who is a fabulous teacher and she knows how to get the kids to have fun, so she took the kids on an adventure walk. As you can see, she should have charged us for being such a great addition to our party! Thank you Grammy Sandi! Leo got too many toys and had too much cake, but what else can you do on your 2nd birthday?

Leo's pre-birthday celebration started off with a trip to Disneyland on Wednesday 8-24-2011. We started at Disneyland with the goal of riding on all the trains (Leo's favorite). First we hit the tram, which Leo considers a train. Then we did a half loop on the Railroad, a run on Casey Jr's train and then a Monorail ride to Downtown Disney. Once in Downtown Disney, Zoey picked out and helped Leo build a shiny new red remote controlled Lightning McQueen, as her gift to him for his big day. Leo loves his new car, but of course loves Zoey most of all!
