Starting off our morning on New Year's Eve, we thought we wouldn't have anything going on. After our daughter kept bugging us to "do something special," we decided to stop off at Mary and Larry's house for a visit. Little did we know that Mary and Larry wanted to "do something special" too! We decided to all go to Irvine Park to visit the railroad. Brian and I had never been there (at least that we can remember) and the kids LOVED it. We rode the train and let Zoey ride a pony. We didn't stay long because we were late for nap time and Theresa and Brian were coming over to dinner, but we plan on going back soon. Theresa and Brian came over and played with the kids. The kids went to bed by 8PM, and the four of us celebrated New Year's Eve by watching a movie and playing computer games. It was definitely mellow, but we didn't have energy for anything else.
