Leo's birthday party 8-28-2010

At the end of spring, we started to plan for Leo's big first birthday, and decided to call around to parks in our area for the big event. Imagine our surprise when every park department we called almost laughed at us for trying to reserve something at a park on a weekend in August! Those slots were reserved at the beginning of the year! OYE. So, we begged my parents to host the event at their house. They graciously accepted and thus the backyard party was in the works. This meant a smaller group (sorry if you weren't invited) and an easier set up for us so we were both happy and sad that the parks were out of the equation. Needless to say, we just wanted to give Leo something fun, regardless of the location. The theme was beach balls, since we assumed it would be 100 degrees. It was, of course, overcast and cold for a majority of the day. It was still a great event. The house and backyard were perfect (thanks mom and dad)! The kids had a BLAST! The food was good and Leo had a great time. We are so happy and blessed to have Leo in our lives and this was a great way to celebrate that! - Melissa
Thanks to BH for the great PICS!

Super adorable pics! I am still in love with Baby Zachary, and the one of our girls together is priceless as usual. :)
