This and that

The week of March 8th to the 14th was a busy one. We managed to squeeze in a home photo shoot, purchase a new double stroller, my brother Kyle's 17th birthday, a visit to Melissa's parents with Tommy, Sophia and Dominic, home TV repair, a date night with Melissa AND a trip to California Adventure with Larry Tina and Sara Mowles! -Brian

We spent the beginning of daylight saving time Sunday 3/14 with a trip to California Adventure with Larry, Tina and Sara Mowles. The weather was nice, the crowds were manageable and Zoey and Sara had a great time.

The evening of Saturday 3/13 Melissa and I had an evening out for my birthday. Since Zoey's bday is the day after mine we decided to go out this weekend with the kids at the grandparents. We had a great evening and managed to stupidly take a picture in the car while driving.

Saturday 3/13 started off with some home TV repair. Our barely 2 year old Samsung LCD started having difficulty powering on about 4 months ago and the issue has only gotten worse. Turning on the TV takes 2-3 minutes and the picture is dim. I discovered on an internet forum that unfortunately it's a common issue. The power supply has some faulty capacitors that need to be replaced. As you can see in the related picture the fix requires taking apart the damn thing only to discover that I needed to buy additional parts. This journey will continue another day : (

Tommy and Sophia had Friday 3/12 off. They made a trip out to Universal Studios and made a pit stop at Sandi and Roberts house on the way home to let traffic clear up (they live in Rancho Cucamonga). We met up with them after work and it ended up being a great improvised party with Robert BBQ'ing!

Kyle turned 17 on 3/11, due to scheduling conflicts (who doesn't have them!) we all met up at my parents on Wednesday 3/10. My mom made a great dinner and Kyle got stacks of cash.

Tuesday 3/9 our new Joovy Caboose double stroller arrived. Melissa asked to get a new stroller now that Leo is getting to be too big for the baby carrier car seat and Zoey is getting too heavy to carry or sit on my shoulders for an extended period of time. Melissa picked this model due to it's size; it's not "Limousine" sized as some of the other double strollers available. So far the kids love it!

On Monday 3/8, Melissa took some photos of the kids in the morning. Later that day I took some more and Melissa took a few with me and the kids. I have to say these pictures came out great!

Melissa installed a bird feeder in the window at home. The birds took a little over the week to notice the free food and now come by every day.
